+ How do I turn on my band?

Press the button for 3 seconds and release.

+ My band isn’t working. What should I do?

It sounds like you may need to Hard Reset your band. Hold down the button for more than 10 seconds and keep holding it until you see all the colored leds turn off and a single red-led blink. While you are holding down the button you may see the band display a sequence of light effects: a Power Off light effect (parallel white lines blinking), followed by a dark band, followed by the Device Firmware Update light effect (barbershop pattern in white) and then finally the Hard Reset light effect: a solid red LED on one end (opposite the button) followed by the same LED blinking. When you see that red-LED light blinking you will know that the reset is complete. The band will restart at that point, showing a light effect.

+ Do the tiles only go on one way? Which way is the top?

Yes, all the tiles only go on one way. Orient your band so that the middle tile is on “top” and the band button is on the left. The end tile with the hole in it goes over the button. The side tiles only go one way - be sure to align the double-notches on the band with the the double-tabs on the tile; there are markers on top of the band to help you find this alignment.

+ Does my phone’s Bluetooth need to be on if I want to wear my band at a concert?

If you just want to pulse to the beat, it doesn’t. If you want to connect to the Channels feature or to send a light message, then yes.

+ I lost my charger. Can I buy another one?

Absolutely, just see our shopping page > accessories to buy a stand alone charger.

+ Does it come with a warranty?

Your Gemio comes with a one-year limited warranty. For detail information, please refer to our warranty information page.

+ Will it charge with 110 and 220V?

The charger comes with a standard usb cable. You must provide a usb socket such as a phone charger, or a computer, or a standalone usb charger.

+ How long will the battery last?

Gemio has double batteries to extend its life but the total battery life will depend on how constantly the light effects are playing. For example, Fire is a more active effect than Galaxy and will use more battery. You should plan on dropping it onto the wireless charger nightly.

+ Is Gemio waterproof?

No. Gemio is water resistant. Sweating on the dance floor should be no problem but don’t go skinny dipping in any fountains.

+ How long does it take to process returns?

Please allow three weeks from the time you mail your return for us to process and issue the refund to your original form of payment.

+ How will I know when my order is ships?

We'll send you a shipping confirmation email when your order has shipped. The email will contain tracking information and a link to the carrier's website showing your package's progress. You can also click the "Account" link on our website to see your order history and fulfillment status, and click the order number to see shipping dates and tracking information.

+ Why isn't my order being processed?

There are a few reasons why you might be having difficulty placing your order. We might be experiencing a technical issue, or there might be a problem with your card. Please contact us at customerservice@gogemio.com with the error message and/or reference number you're seeing.

Gemio accepts returns if postmarked within 30 days of receipt of the original shipment.

To qualify for a refund, all the following conditions must be met: A return authorization must be requested from our customer service team within 30 days of your purchase date. To request a return authorization, please contact Customer Service at customerservice@gogemio.com. You must return the Product to Gemio to receive a refund. Returned Product(s) must be in good physical condition (not physically broken or damaged). All accessories originally included with your purchase must be included with your return. The return authorization number must be included along with your returned product. If you return Product to Gemio (a) without a return authorization from Gemio or (b) without all parts and accessories originally included with your purchase, Gemio retains the right to either refuse acceptance of such a return and reship it back to the buyer or charge you a restocking fee of 25% of the original price of the Product(s) or the retail value of the missing parts and accessories, whichever is higher. + My effects aren’t working?

Make sure you turn on Bluetooth to connect the App to your Band. If your effects still won’t react, try disconnecting the band from the app in the Bands page, and reconnecting it. If that doesn’t help, try disconnecting the band from the app and doing a hard reset of your band, as described above, then reconnect the band to your app.

+ Do I need to have a smartphone? What version of Apple/Android Phones does it work with?

Your Gemio band is beautiful and fun without a smartphone. With a smartphone, you can do more with your band, like controlling the light effects, setting your band to a specific color, and lots of secret features coming soon! The phone will require Bluetooth 4.0 (For iPhones, any model 4S or later, for Android you’ll have to check your specifications. iOS 10 or later, Android 4.4 or later.

+ How many friends can I connect with? What if my friends don’t have Gemio yet?

You can connect with 100 friends (also known as the Dunbar Number). All the Gemio functionality works even if you are Gemio-friendless… you just won’t have anyone to send light signals to. But you can light up the night with incredible effects and show off your Gemio designs and light effect.
